An Introduction – Danaeah

I am real excited. When I started this blog, I thought it would be kind of a exploration for me and just something new for me to try. I had a secret hope that it might spur the same type of motivation and vision in others. I really do feel like… if I can do “it”… so can anyone. I also feel that with other’s help this blog could be more well… successful. (For me, the measure of success here is to help others in some way… doesn’t really matter what or how…)

Another personal challenge that I have eluded too in other posts, but have yet to post the personal challenge here till now, was to grow and show appreciation for my sangha. So with that challenge in mind, I had hoped that within this blog was the promise to digitally solidify my virtual sangha. The challenge is to extend an easy hand and reach out to that sangha that I have begun to find in my first life, my digital life, and of course my second life; an act of trust that does not usually come easy to me.

So, in comes one of my wonderfully supportive friends from Second Life, Danaeah Bollinger. It just so happens that Danaeah and I shared some of the same interests, namely learning about Buddhism. Danaeah is far more advanced in Buddhism than I am, and we have had many short chats about this idea or that, this sutra or that. She was then one of the first people to support me in putting together the SL reading group (see the “Current Events” category listing or click here for more details if you would like to join us). And now she is going to give us some of her thoughts on this very blog…!
