Stretching Out and Growing New Ideas
It has been a while since I have written, but that doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been loads of things that have happened. I lack for a concentrated reason for taking a break from writing, well, other than maybe I had reached my writing goal (writing for a whole year/365 days). By the time I had reached that goal my mind had decided to take a break from the blog, and at the same time I started to take a new look at some of the blog challenges I had put before me. In a round about way I reviewed how I could approach them anew. I wanted to continue to figure out more of those things that I wanted to do and enjoyed, but to that I needed a new approach and also decided to consolidate some of what I was doing.
Taking a Break – A Fun Review
I really enjoyed much of the things that I had been working on before I decided to take a break, and there seems to be nothing like taking a break from something to see if you really miss it. Writing my blog was one of them. I did miss it.
So Where Are We Now? – Did I Choose Wisely?
When I created those blog challenges (see right side bar for my personal challenge list), I tried to base them on things that I thought I wanted to do and for the most part would enjoy doing. I guessed that if I had picked my challenges well then I would end up finding a way to do them regardless of planning. This seems to have worked out quite well, although not reviewing a list from time to time can slow a venture. Reviewing the list now after a break makes me think I did pretty good at choosing, but there is still much I would like to do, and some I would like to return to but in new ways. One goal that I could not find the time to work on in the past while writing I have been slowly creeping up on… creating a garden and various rooms in the garden.
Garden Diary – A New Beginning
Yes, the most neglected of the blog challenges on my list have definitely been the one’s having to do with creating a garden. During my break from the blog I am very happy to say that I have been scheming and planning not just one garden but a few (maybe this will increase my success rate). I have been working outside on the rare sunny day, and working inside at planning and purchasing what I need to proceed when the weather permits. One thing I knew was that I wanted a garden diary… and then it happened… I thought about a return to writing the blog. And here I am. It feels nice.
Catching up…
So in the next few posts I will begin to catch you up with my adventures and misadventures, as well as my planning about the gardens. Please give me any wisdom you might have. Know this city girl is going to make plenty of mistakes. It might take me a bit to get back into the warm and comfy feeling of writing again. Feel free to laugh with me…
